What is it?
Citronellol is a naturally occurring scent ingredient derived from plants such as rose, geranium and lemongrass.  For example, Citronellol is found in rose and geranium essential oils (18-55%). A colorless liquid, C10H20O, with a rose like odor, derived from any of several essential oils.  The United States FDA considers citronellol as generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for food consumption use.
